Police: New Jersey Couple Arrested With Massive Amounts Of Drugs, Guns, And Cash
MIDDLETOWN, NJ(CBSNewYork) -- New Jersey State Police have arrested a Middletown Township couple for drug distribution, and possession of a massive cache of weapons.
Edwin Class Jr, 30, and Michelle Galioto, 28, were charged with a number of drug and weapons related charges including drug distribution, possession of illegal weapons and ammunition, and endangering the welfare of children.
The investigation into the couple's activity was conducted by police departments from New Jersey and Maryland. It culminated on Friday in an early morning raid on the couple's Middletown home.
Authorities found eleven weapons, including five assault rifles, along with over eight-hundred rounds of ammunition.
Detectives also seized over $22,000 worth of cocaine, marijuana, xanax, Oxycontin, and ecstacy.
Class and Galioto are being held at the Monmouth County Jail. The pair are innocent until proven guilty.
