Police: Men Hailed, Robbed Livery Cab In Brooklyn

NEW YORK(CBSNewYork) -- The NYPD is asking the public for help in tracking down a pair of suspects wanted in connection with the robbery of a livery cab in the Canarsie section of Brooklyn on Saturday morning.

Around 3 a.m. a livery driver picked up two men on a street hail at Atlantic Ave and Saratoga Street. The suspects asked the driver to take them to East 102nd Street and Farragut Road, as the cab approached the destination the suspects asked the driver to stop, exited the vehicle, brandished a gun and demanded money, police said.

The victim turned over his money and the suspects made off with his cell phone, dispatcher radio, and one of the vehicle's cameras, according to authorities.

The suspects have been described as a black male and a dark-skinned male, both are in their twenties.
