Police: Man Stole Woman's Identity, Used It To Obtain Prescriptions
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police on Monday were asking the public to help them find a man they say stole a woman's identity in Brooklyn, and used it to obtain prescriptions from several pharmacies.
The identity theft occurred on Thursday, Dec. 5 in the 61st Precinct in southern Brooklyn, police said.
The 55-year-old female victim found that her identity had been used by the suspect to obtain prescriptions fraudulently from the unspecified pharmacies.
The suspect called in the prescriptions using various doctors' information, and picked them up using the victim's name, police said.
Police have released a surveillance photo of the suspect, taken at A.J.'s Village Chemist in Middle Village, Queens, on Feb. 19.
