Police: Man Hit Port Authority Police Car Near Holland Tunnel, Made Threats To Officers
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A man was arrested and charged Wednesday night after he allegedly hit two parked vehicles and a Port Authority police car, and made threatening statements to police, near the Lower Manhattan entrance to the Holland Tunnel.
Around 7:50 p.m., the suspect was driving on Varick Street near Watts Street in Hudson Square, when he hit two parked vehicles in the fire lane, Port Authority of New York and New Jersey police said.

He kept driving and went on to hit a marked Port Authority police squad car, police said.
The suspect then stopped, but went on to make anti-police sentiments to officers at the scene. He claimed that he had smoked PCP and said he wanted to take out a police officer, police said.
The suspect was driving a gray Audi with Pennsylvania plates, and had what appeared to be synthetic marijuana with him, police said.
The 24-year-old suspect was arrested and charged with attempted aggravated assault, making terroristic threats, and reckless driving, police said. He was taken to an area hospital.
Police have not released the suspect's name.
