Police: Man Critically Injured In Brooklyn Hit-And-Run

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are looking for the driver in a hit-and-run who they say left a man critically injured in Brooklyn.

Witnesses say the driver, a woman, ran a red light in Sunset Park Wednesday night. Her car slammed into the man near 50th Street and 6th Avenue.

"I heard a squeak so I quickly picked my head up and I see a car on the sidewalk and I said 'what the hell' and just smashed into another two cars and drove off," said one witness.

The driver abandoned the car in Borough park and reportedly removed the license plates.

Police say the victim is 47-years-old. His name has not been released.
