Forde also faces charges on robbery and criminal possession of a weapon, police said.

The family is relieved to hear of Forde's arrests, but the pain is still there.

"It's a comfortable feeling in one way, but in another way, the pain is still there. The pain will be there for long," said Jerson Torres, Juan's brother. "I think the family don't have the time even to realize what is really happening. We plan to be more secure for now, taking care of our life."

Police had been seeking the public's assistance after the Lucky Deli in Laurelton was robbed and Torres was shot last weekend.

Responding officers had found Torres unconscious and unresponsive with a gun shot wound to the head on Oct. 23. EMS officials had pronounced him dead on the scene.

He was the third member of the Torres family to be killed in deli shootings.

The deli's customers have been in all week long to mourn with the Torres family, and their compassion is something that Jerson loves about the community.

"It's a very warm feeling because they are like a family around here. All of us together to share with us our pain," he said.
