It happened around 3 p.m. Thursday in Central Islip.
Officers conducting surveillance spotted Langs, with the baby in his arms, walk down the street and sell heroin to a drug buyer at the corner of Peters Boulevard and Kelly Avenue, police said.
"The child was content, the child is being held by the father and he's approaching the buyer to complete the narcotics transaction with the child in his arms," Suffolk County police Lt. James Rooney told WCBS 880. "To him, it looked like the usual course of business, the way the officers observed him."
Langs was immediately arrested and had a quantity of heroin on him, police said. He's due in court on Friday.
The child was released to her great-grandmother and child protective services were notified.
