Police Investigating Possible Bias Attack On 3 Women In Brooklyn
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are investigating a possible bias attack against three women in Brooklyn.
It happened around 2:15 a.m. back on Oct. 26 on Franklin Avenue in Bedford-Stuyvesant.
Investigators said a man walked up to the three women, ages 29, 34, and 36, made anti-gay statements and then assaulted them. The women were taken to the hospital with minor facial lacerations, police said.
Some residents say the incident is unsettling.
"Definitely, yeah, because it was women in a group," resident Bianca Rodrigues told CBS2's Andrea Grymes.
"I don't think it's good," said resident Paulette Norville. "I'm a woman too and you never know what time I'm going to be walking down the street."
Police have released surveillance video of four people wanted for questioning in connection with the incident. Investigators said the second man who appears in the video is the one believed to have committed the assault.
