Neighbors are shaken up and speechless. They said Blunt was a fixture on the block -- with her wildflowers and pristine shrubs turning heads -- but now her bucolic front yard is marred by yellow crime scene tape.
Investigators believe it is an isolated case but Irvington Police Director Joseph Santiago says there are no suspects.
Neighbors, however, have their suspicions.
"It couldn't have been random, she's too well known in the neighborhood," one woman said. "This was somebody who knew her and knew she lived alone."
Police are asking the public to call the Essex County prosecutor with tips.
