Police Investigating Death Of Monsey Infant
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are investigating the death of a 1-year-old boy from Monsey.
Just before 1 a.m. Tuesday, the unconscious and unresponsive infant was brought to Maimonides Hospital in Brooklyn by private means, according to police.
The baby boy, identified as Mendi Altman, was pronounced dead at the hospital, police said.
Police said Altman's family was visiting relatives at an apartment in Brooklyn when the little boy stopped breathing.
No criminality is expected, but the investigation is still ongoing.
