Police Investigate Reports Of Men Asking Kids For Names, Addresses In Washington Heights

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police in Washington Heights are telling parents to stay alert at area parks after reports of middle-aged men approaching young children and asking them for their names and addresses.

There have been at least three similar reports within the past month.

In some cases, the men took pictures of the children, CBS 2 reported.

The incidents happened at Isham Park, Bennett Park, and at J Hood Wright, 1010 WINS' Juliet Papa reported.

Police are asking parents who may have seen the activity to contact authorities.

The reports first surfaced on social media, but no formal complaint has been made to police.
