Police Investigate Domestic Violence Incidents That Led To Suicides In Brooklyn, Queens
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) – Police are investigating after two domestic incidents turned into attempted murder and suicide in Brooklyn and Queens.
Police say a man in Queens shot and wounded his wife and another woman before killing himself.
It happened inside a home on Gates Avenue in Ridgewood at about 8 p.m. Tuesday.
Police say a 54-year-old woman was shot in the back and a 32-year-old woman was shot in the arm. Both unidentified women were hospitalized and are expected to survive.
Police say the man was found dead after he had barricaded himself in the home for about an hour. No other information was immediately available.

In East New York, Brooklyn, a 54-year-old man shot himself after shooting his 64-year-old wife and a young man believed to be his step-son.
Police say the call came in around 1:20 a.m. Wednesday to a residence on Pennsylvania Avenue.
Both mother and son were taken to Brookdale University Hospital and Medical Center for treatment and are expected to survive, 1010 WINS' Glenn Schuck reported.
Family of the victims gathered outside the home on Wednesday.
"He was a loving father and a loving person. He loved everybody and he took care of everybody," one woman who identified the man as her brother said.
It is unknown at this time what caused the violence.
