Police Impersonators Sought In Brooklyn Home Invasion, Robbery
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police have requested the public's help in finding two men wanted for impersonating officers during a home invasion and robbery in Brownsville, Brooklyn.
The robbery happened at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday. Police did not specify exactly where the home that was invaded was located, but said it was somewhere between Atlantic Avenue and Herkimer Street, which run parallel a block apart.
The suspects posed as police officers as they pushed into the residence. They made off with cash and a laptop computer.
No one was reported injured in the incident.
One suspect was described as a black male standing about 6 feet tall with black hair and glasses.
The other was described as a Hispanic male with black hair, wearing a shield around his neck.
Surveillance photos of the suspects were released.
