NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The suspect in the shooting that left a 14-year-old girl wounded Friday in Cypress Hills, Brooklyn is being questioned, police said.
Rashawn Williams, 19, was wanted for the shooting, police said Tuesday.
The girl was walking home from Benjamin Bennett High School around 3:30 p.m. Friday when she heard three to four gunshots at Sutter and Euclid avenues, and felt pain in her leg, police said. She realized she had been shot in the leg, police said.
She was taken to Kings County Hospital Center. The bullet passed straight through her leg, police said.
Police previously released a surveillance video which apparently captured Williams running from the scene through a gas station.
