Police Identify Motorcyclist In Fatal BQE Crash
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A Brooklyn man fell to his death from the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway Saturday.
Police responded to a motorcycle accident on the westbound side of the BQE near Montague Street at 1:48 a.m.
They said a red, 2001 Yamaha motorcycle went over the guide rail and fell nearly 20 feet to the lower roadway.
Officials say the rider, 48-year-old Nelson Perez, was exiting a curve in the roadway east of Montague Street, crossing over the center and right lanes, and struck the curb at the time of the accident.
Emergency crews transported Perez to Lutheran Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
