Police Identify ATV Driver Killed In Bronx Crash
BRONX, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) -- Police have identified the driver of an ATV that was killed following a collision with an SUV in the Bronx Saturday.
According to officials, 31-year-old Anthony Perez, of Yonkers, was driving his ATV northbound on Broadway when he tried to pass a Ford Explorer.
The SUV had been making a left turn into an underground garage mid-block on Broadway near West 259th Street around 5:25 p.m. when the collision occurred.
Officers who arrived on the scene following the crash found Perez on the ground with severe body trauma, official said.
EMS rushed Perez to St. Joseph's Hospital in Yonkers, where he was pronounced dead.
The 40-year-old driver of the Ford Explorer remained on the scene, police said.
