Police Hunt For Push-In Robbers In The Bronx
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - Police are hunting for two bandits who shoved their way into into a young mother's apartment and robbed her.
The robbery went down on Tuesday. Police say at around 6:30 p.m., a 21-year-old man was walking into his apartment on Sedgwick Avenue when someone grabbed him by the neck. The suspect shoved the 21-year-old into the apartment and the two started to struggle.
That's when a second suspect entered the apartment, confronting a 23-year-old woman, who was holding her 1-year-old child. Police say the second suspect simulated having a gun. He forced the woman and child into a back bedroom, while his cohort tied up the 21-year-old man with electrical cords.
The duo then stole $900 in cash, two laptops and a cell phone.
Both suspects are described as young hispanic men, around 2o and 5'9". The suspect who grabbed the man had black hair in a pony tail, a piercing in his lower lip, and was wearing a black jacket, a blue hoodie, blue jeans and a black baseball cap. The second suspect, who simulated a pistol, was wearing dark pants, a blue baseball cap and a gray jacket.
