About a half a mile away on Bradford Street near New Lots Avenue, there was another reported shooting.
As 1010 WINS' Kevin Rincon reported, Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents with the Department of Homeland Security were conducting a drug operation in which they arrested three men.
During that bust, ICE officials said one of the suspects tried to flee, hopped into a car and drove the vehicle in the direction of one the agents.
The agent then fired his weapon at the car, striking the engine, ICE officials said. No one was injured in the incident.
"Any time an ICE officer or special agent discharges their firearm in the line of duty, the ICE Office of Professional Responsibility reviews the matter. Due to this ongoing review, no further details will be released at this time," ICE spokesman Lou Martinez added.
Sources told 1010 WINS the shootings are not believed to be related.
