Police Standoff With Liquor Store Robbery Suspects In Brooklyn Ends Peacefully
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- A standoff involving an armed man holed up inside a Brooklyn liquor store has ended peacefully.
Authorities said two men -- ages 23 and 25 -- tried to rob Arrow Wine & Liquor in Mill Basin around 1:30 p.m. when police in the area were alerted to what was happening and essentially foiled the robbery, 1010 WINS' Al Jones reported.
One man surrendered before 5 p.m., but the armed suspect was still inside the store located at Avenue N and East 49th Street before surrendering four hours after the standoff began.

Only one shot was fired inside the store, but no one was hurt.
CBS 2's Hazel Sanchez reported that three people were in the store at the time of the attempted robbery. Two of them were able to escape and flag down police.
Local residents said they were going about their business when they suddenly saw a man with a gun and officers drawing their weapons in the vicinity.
