Police: Newark Liberty Airport Incident Blown Out Of Proportion
NEWARK (CBSNewYork) - What at first appeared to be a security scare at Newark Liberty International Airport was apparently overblown.
Initial reports suggested an argument between two co-workers escalated at around 9:15 a.m. Wednesday. One employee then jumped into a United vehicle and began driving around, the PAPD said.
Initially, the PAPD said the man was unauthorized to use the vehicle.
Turns out the man was in fact authorized to use it.
Responding police officers took the employee into custody but later released him.
There were no disruptions of service.
