Police: Conn. Man Charged With Threatening Mets Execs, Players And Coaches
WEST HAVEN, Conn. (CBSNewYork/AP) — Yet another story of an angry sports fan on Twitter.
A Connecticut man has been charged with threatening New York Mets players, coaches and executives on Twitter postings.
Authorities say 42-year-old Aryn Leroux of West Haven also made a threat against the Mets' ballpark, Citi Field. He was arrested Wednesday on misdemeanor threatening and breach of peace charges.

The arrest was the result of an investigation by West Haven police, New York City police and the Queens district attorney's office. Officials didn't release details of the alleged threats.
Leroux regularly blogs about the Mets and describes himself online as a die hard Mets fan since 1982, 1010 WINS' Carol D'Auria reported.
Leroux apparently encouraged fans to "act like Jason the slasher" in the Friday The 13th movies, the New York Post reported.
Police say Leroux posted $2,500 bail. He could not be reached for comment Wednesday. It's not clear if he has a lawyer, and a phone listing for him is disconnected.
Mets fan and WFAN sports personality Steve Somers said the threats should be taken seriously.
"Most people turn off and move on, you know from a bad season, or two, or three or four", he said, "People so misuse social media.
Mets fan 'Paco' told 1010 WINS reporter Holli Haerr that Leroux may have been hungry for attention.

"You know it's hard to say. He might just be a crazy guy wanting a little attention," he said.
On Tuesday, Giants running back Brandon Jacobs revealed that he received death threats from an angry fantasy football player.
