Police Arrest Suspect Wanted In 2 Bed-Stuy Attempted Rapes
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police have arrested a suspect wanted in connection with two attempted rapes targeting older women in Brooklyn.
Donald Deliotte, 48, was arrested Tuesday night and charged with 2 counts of attempted rape, robbery, assault and strangulation.
Deliotte is suspected in an incident on November 18, when a 61-year-old woman fought back and was taken to the hospital with a broken ankle and cuts on her face and arms.
Authorities also believe he stole cash from the Bedford-Stuyvesant store following the attempted rape.
The previous incident took place on October 26 when a 77-year-old woman was attacked inside the Bed-Stuy store where she works.
Police said she struggled with the suspect before he fled the scene.
