Police Arrest 3 City Employees On Separate Drug, Alcohol Charges
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - A New York City correction officer, teacher and police officer were each arrested in separate incidents Sunday morning.
Police arrested Department of Corrections Capt. Grayson Fredericks, 46, on charges of DWI, DWAI and speeding.
The off-duty officer was arrested around 12:45 a.m. in Queens Village.
Then just after 1 a.m., police arrested a New York City public school teacher on three counts of criminal possession of controlled substances for cocaine, police told 1010 WINS.
Isael Barias, 38, was taken into custody in the Lower East Side.
Finally, New York City Police Officer Armando Urbina, 36, was arrested shortly before 8 a.m. in the 112th Precinct, which includes Forest Hills and Rego Park, Queens.
He was charged with driving while intoxicated and refusing to take a breath test, police said.
