Police: 16-Year-Old Bronx Boy Fatally Struck By 2 Cars, 2nd Teen Injured
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP) -- Police are investigating a deadly hit-and-run in the Bronx.
Two teenagers were crossing Baychester Avenue just after 5 p.m. Sunday when they were struck by a Honda Accord traveling north, police said.
One of the teens, 16-year-old Dylon Ramirez, was then hit by another car going south, police said.
Both teens were taken to Jacobi Medical Center, where Ramirez was pronounced dead. A 15-year-old girl is in critical condition.
Both drivers fled the scene but the driver of the Honda returned and was taken into custody, police said.
Shawn Williams, 26, was arrested on charges of leaving the scene of an accident and reckless driving.
