Planned Work On 7 Line To Affect Commuters For Several Weekends
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- If you are a commuter who relies on weekend 7 Train service, you are out of luck -- at least for a while.
No trains will run on the 7 line between Times Square and Queensboro Plaza for the next 11 weekends, starting this Saturday, because of track and signal work.

The announcement has some commuters trying to come up with some weekend contingency plans.
"LIRR...is too expensive...it'll have to be a cab I'd say to Queensboro Plaza and get the N," one man told 1010 WINS' Al Jones.
"Like I work night shifts so it's going to be awkward at 12, 1 o'clock in the morning to re-route," said another commuter.
The MTA will provide free shuttle buses between the Vernon-Jackson and Queensboro Plaza stations.
The transit agency says it is choosing to do the work now instead of the summer so the work doesn't affect the crowds heading to Citi Field.
