Pilot Program Gives New Jersey Students iPads
MORRISTOWN, NJ (WCBS 880) - When classes started Tuesday in one North Jersey school, some of the students were the envy of the campus.

Sixty students at the Morristown-Beard School have been given iPads to use in class, not that laptops are so bad.
"One thing that always comes across is that it's sort of a wall of the backs of computers that you're looking at and people have to peer above or around,"headmaster Alex Curtis told WCBS 880 reporter Levon Putney.
Curtis says they hope the pilot program will knock down that wall so teachers can use the iPad apps to spice up their lessons, like in art history.
Curtis says, "We'll look at satellite images of a garden in England and understand just how large it is and whre the different pieces fit together."
He says they'll give all the kids iPads next year if the pilot program works.
