Drexel's College of Medicine has teamed up with Saint Peter's University Hospital to offer in-house residency training at the hospital's New Brunswick campus for third and fourth year students.
"Well, it's important for the students because we're recruiting more students from New Jersey from the region here to join our medical school," College of Medicine president Dr. Richard Homan told WCBS 880 reporter Levon Putney. "They can then have their first and second years of training in Philadelphia, but return closer to home."
Homan says a quarter of this past year's incoming class is from the Garden State.
