'Hamilton' Cast Has Special Message For Vice President-Elect Mike Pence
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Vice President-elect Mike Pence attended a performance of Hamilton on Friday night, and before leaving he got a special message from the show's cast.
A video posted on social media shows a cast member calling to Pence as he starts to leave the theater.
The audience starts to boo, but the actor quiets them, saying "we have a message for you sir, we hope that you will hear us out."
He went on to say "we sir are the diverse America who are alarmed and anxious that your new administration will not protect us, our planet, our children, our parents, or defend us and uphold our inalienable rights, sir."
The cast implored Pence to work on behalf "of all of us."
