Patriots' Amendola Pledges Donation In Wake Of Boston Marathon Bombings
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Patriots wide receiver Danny Amendola has pledged to make a performance-based donation after two bombs exploded near the finish line of the Boston Marathon on Monday, leaving three dead and more than 170 wounded.
On Twitter, the New England newcomer promised to give $100 for every pass he catches in 2013. He'll double that for each drop.
Amendola caught 63 passes in only 11 games for the St. Louis Rams last season. He should be able to exceed that -- if he stays healthy -- with Tom Brady at quarterback.
