PATH Announces Restoration Of Full Service On Hoboken-WTC Line
HOBOKEN, N.J. (CBSNewYork) -- Good news Hoboken commuters!
PATH is set to resume full service between Hoboken and World Trade Center beginning Wednesday morning at 6 a.m.
As 1010 WINS' Sonia Rincon reported, the Port Authority said the announcement means PATH will, for the first time since Superstorm Sandy, be running normal weekday service.

Service on the Newark to World Trade Center, Hoboken to World Trade Center, Journal Square to 33rd Street and Hoboken to 33rd Street lines will operate on their regular, pre-Sandy time tables, the Port Authority said.
"PATH riders' patience, understanding and flexibility under such difficult circumstances are great examples of how the people of this region respond in the face of tragedy, and today is another major step toward returning our daily lives and routines to normal," Gov. Chris Christie said.
Passengers were thoroughly pleased to hear the news Tuesday.
"Thank God," said Joey. "I don't have to get off at Christopher Street. It's a pain in the [expletive], and it saves 10 minutes both ways."
Even those who take the PATH from Hoboken to other stops in the city were applauding.
"I'm really happy for all the people that suffered for like three months, or whatever it's been, because it's been excruciating not having the service back the way it was," a woman said.
She said the PATH is one reason many of her neighbors moved to Hoboken, and many of her neighbors who work in finance appreciate the reinstatement of the service.
Both the Exchange Place and World Trade Center stations will remain closed weekends during February so crews can complete necessary repairs.
The Port Authority said it expects overnight weekend service to return between Newark and World Trade Center sometime in March.
