Paterson Won't Face Charges in Domestic Violence Probe
NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- A report looking into Gov. David Paterson's involvement in a domestic violence case is expected to be released Wednesday afternoon.
An investigation, led by former Chief Judge Judith Kaye, found Paterson used "bad judgement" when he contacted Sherr-una Booker but the governor will not face criminal charges.
Booker was involved in a domestic dispute with Paterson's former aide, David Johnson.
After the confrontation Paterson called Booker and later endorsed a press statement that said the incident was not violent.
Booker filed a police report saying Johnson choked her, threw her against a mirror and tried to rip her Halloween costume off. After the Paterson call, she did not show up for court, and the complaint was dropped.
