Part Of JFK Terminal Evacuated For Over An Hour Due To Suspicious Package
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Part of Terminal 4 at John F. Kennedy International Airport was evacuated Sunday afternoon, after authorities found a suspicious package that turned out to contain toothpaste.
The suspicious package was discovered around 4 p.m. in Concourse B at the terminal, a Port Authority of New York and New Jersey police spokesman told WCBS 880.
The Bomb Squad arrived and evacuated the terminal. Passengers were not allowed to reenter until around 5:15 p.m.
The package turned out to be toothpaste with duct tape and wires, authorities told CBS 2.
