Parking Rate Increase For Staten Island Ferry Commuters
STATEN ISLAND, NY (CBS 2) -- Staten Island ferry commuters will soon be paying an extra $2.50 to park their cars.
Starting Monday, the cost to park in the muni-metered lot at the St. George ferry terminal will increase to $8. The current rate is $5.50.
The new parking meter rates will be a $1 an hour for short-term parking and $8 for all day parking.
The Department of Transportation says the rate increase is part of the mayor's budget.
