Open Bridge Halts Amtrak Service Between Penn Station, New Rochelle
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Amtrak service between Penn Station and New Rochelle was delayed Sunday night due to bridge problems.
The Amtrak Acela Express, which runs between Boston and Washington, D.C., was stuck as of Sunday night due to the Pelham Bay Bridge being stuck in the open position, according to Amtrak.
As of 10 p.m., crews were working to resolve the issue. Passengers who have paid, but choose not to travel were eligible for refunds, Amtrak said.
Some reservations that have been booked online can be modified or canceled using Amtrak.com or the Amtrak mobile app.
The railroad had no timetable for how long the delay would last.
