Hundreds Sickened Across US In Salmonella Outbreak Linked To Onions
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The Food and Drug Administration is investigating a salmonella outbreak involving red, yellow and white onions.
The FDA says it involves whole, fresh onions from a company called ProSource.
They were imported from Mexico and used in food service locations in more than three dozen states, including New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.
The outbreak has caused 652 illnesses and 129 hospitalizations, but no deaths. For more information, click here.
