"Ex-Major Leaguers who know how to play, filtered in with some AA, A ball players. Maybe some independent players, but have good talent," manager Willie Upshaw told WCBS 880's Paul Murnane. "Here, you're playing to win every day."
Catcher Luis Rodriguez is marking 20 years in the game this season.
"I catch every day, I catch over 100 games every season. I just like to catch. I like to be in the field," said Rodriguez, 39. "Only God knows when it's time for me to go."
The season, which started in April, runs through mid-September.
