One Tank Trips: Long Island's North Fork Wine Country
PECONIC, N.Y. (CBSNewYork) - The North Fork of Long Island is wine country and locals in the towns of Peconic and Southold say that if you spend the day there, your cares will wash away.
That's where WCBS 880's Sophia Hall went for the latest installment of the One Tank Trips series.
Darolyn Augusta, co-owner of the Harvest Inn in Peconic, said they're booked year-round.

Co-owner Christopher Augusta says they serve lobster, homemade tomato sauce and shortribs that have been cooking six hours.
"The draw to our particular inn is we're right in the middle of wine country. So you can walk to the beach. You can walk to 10-plus wineries," Augusta added.
At nearby Raphael Vineyard, Diandra Petrocelli recommends you sit on the back patio while you enjoy a glass of red or white wine and listen to live music.
"Our wines are our really different. We're known for our first labels. We have quite a few - a first label Sauvignon Blanc and a Chardonnay," she said.
At the White Flower Farmhouse store, it's all about being green.
Owner Lori Guyer said she takes pieces from former barns and shutters and transforms them into beautiful tables.
"I do a lot of digging, a lot of exploring in old attics, old basements, old garages," she said.
She added that everything in the store sells for under $500.
