One Driver Arrested, Another Flees The Scene Following Sunrise Highway Collision
NEW YORK(CBSNewYork) -- One driver was arrested and another fled the scene following a crash on the Sunrise Highway in Mastic, Suffolk County police said.
Richard Vorraro Jr. was driving his 2013 BMW eastbound when he collided with a blue pickup truck around 2:40 a.m. The driver of the truck fled the scene in his vehicle, police said.
Vorraro was transported to Brookhaven Memorial Hospital Medical Center in East Patchogue with non-life-threatening injuries to the head and ribs. The 36-year-old was charged with DWI and will be arraigned at a later date.
