On WFAN: Jets' Leonhard Previews Lions Matchup
NEW YORK (WFAN) -- Safety Jim Leonhard joined Boomer & Carton Friday to preview the Jets' Week 9 matchup against the Detroit Lions.
"They've got a very explosive offense, they've got a lot of weapons. Defensively, they're young and hungry and forcing a lot of turnovers," Leonhard said. "So it's definitely not the Detroit Lions that you're thinking of a couple years ago."
On traveling to Detroit:
"It's a dangerous place to play when you know the crowd will be into it, and you know they have the talent to light up the scoreboard if you let them."

On getting shut out at home against the Green Bay Packers:
"Obviously that's as low as it gets," said the Jets' safety. "You either let it linger and let it affect the next week, or you throw it behind you really quickly. That's what we did."
On Rex Ryan:
"Everyone thinks he brings more pressure and more attention to the team," said Leonhard.
"He likes to put the attention on him and take it off his football team so they can prepare and not have to worry about some of the B.S. that goes on week-to-week in the NFL."
