Officials Investigating Fire That Destroyed Laundromat In Yonkers
YONKERS, NY (CBSNewYork) -- Police in Yonkers are investigating an early morning fire that destroyed a business.
Around 1 a.m. Thursday, crews were called to 169 McLean Avenue. When they arrived, they found fire pouring out a back door and rear window of a laundromat. The laundromat was destroyed and neighboring businesses suffered smoke damage.
The fire was declared under control around 2 a.m., according to fire radio transmissions.
There were no injuries reported.
Yonkers police are investigating the fire as a possible arson case.
