Officials Terminate Probation For Nutley 'Tanning Mom' Patricia Krentcil
CAMDEN, N.J. (CBSNewYork/AP) -- The New Jersey mom accused of taking her 6-year-old daughter into a tanning booth is no longer on probation, according to court officials.
Patricia Krentcil is free on $2,500 bond, charged with child endangerment following her arrest last month in Nutley.
According to prosecutors, Krentcil took her 6-year-old to a tanning salon near her home in Nutley and actually brought the child into a tanning bed, causing a slight sunburn.

Krentcil has denied the charge, saying she "would never permit" her daughter, Anna, to go tanning.
"That child was never in that tanning booth," her attorney John D. Caruso said Wednesday. "She loves her child more than her own life and would never ever allow her child to go inside that tanning bed."
She pleaded not guilty to the charge on Wednesday.
"I'm innocent," Krentcil said. "Somebody is an idiot out there."
But the arrest got the attention of authorities in Camden County. That's where Krentcil was sentenced to five years' probation in 1999 for credit card theft, forgery and theft for writing bad checks.
In 2001, a bench warrant was issued for her failure to appear at a probation hearing.
Court officials in Camden County on Friday said her probation had been terminated and she would not be required to appear in court.
Meanwhile, Krentcil spoke with a reporter while she was out shopping Thursday and again denied putting her daughter in a tanning booth. She also blasted people who call her a bad mom.
"There's somebody out there my whole life that doesn't like me because they're jealous, they're fat and they're ugly," she said.
Krentcil is due back in court on the child endangerment charge next month.
