Off-Duty NYPD Officer Stabbed In Queens During Possible Home Invasion
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are searching for two suspects after an off-duty NYPD officer was stabbed Wednesday during a possible home invasion in Queens.
Officer Rishi Gobin was able to call 911 after he was attacked in his home on 170th Street in Jamaica around 1:15 p.m., Police Commissioner Ray Kelly said.

The stabbing happened on the second level of a three-family home. Gobin, who is married and has children, was alone at the time, Kelly said.
The 34-year-old officer lost consciousness, possibly from being hit in the head or from falling and hitting his head, CBS 2's John Slattery reported. He awoke bleeding from a stab wound in the right side and called 911.
It appears no vital organs were hit, Kelly said.
The officer, who is in stable condition, is being treated at Jamaica Hospital and is expected to survive, officials said.

Gobin has been on the force for about five years and works at the 42nd Precinct in the Bronx, 1010 WINS' Holli Haerr reported.
The investigation is ongoing and police are looking into whether Gobin was the victim of a possible home invasion.
Kelly didn't immediately provide more specific details on what transpired during the incident because Officer Gobin was heavily sedated in the hospital and unable to speak to the commissioner prior to his news conference.
One 17-year-old, who works in a nearby store, said he saw two suspects running from the scene.
"I came out and the guy stuck the cop and guy took off from there," said bystander Christopher Johnson.
Police are searching for two men believed to be in their 20s.
