Odds Of A Manning-Manning Super Bowl Increase

NEW YORK (WFAN) - Peyton Manning hasn't even officially put pen to paper with the Denver Broncos but already, Denver's Super Bowl title odds have increased dramatically.

Before the news of Manning instructing his agent to agree a deal with the Broncos, Denver's chances of winning the Super Bowl were listed at 50-1.  Las Vegas Hotel and Casino's sports book have now shifted Denver's odds to 10-1.

With the imminent arrival of Manning in Denver, odds-makers and NFL analysts alike believe the Broncos are strong contenders to reach Super Bowl XLVII.  Their chances of winning the AFC Championship have risen to 5-1.

Somehow, the New York Giants' odds of defending their title have dropped slightly from 15-1 to 16-1.  Part of that could be due to the loss of wide receiver Mario Manningham to the 49ers.

They are currently outside the top 4 Super Bowl favorites.   The Green Bay Packers are listed as favorites to win Super Bowl XLVII at 5-1, followed by the New England Patriots at 7-1, New Orleans Saints at 8-1 and the Broncos.

Even though the Giants' odds have dropped, it would hard to bet against Eli Manning's playoff pedigree.  A Manning vs. Manning Super Bowl might not be the hot bet but it's lot more likely now than when the NFC free agency period began.

It's the match-up fans have been waiting for and as Peyton Manning is set to don Broncos' navy and orange, it's a strong possibility.

Is a Manning vs. Manning Super Bowl likely to take place in 2013?  Who's your Super Bowl favorite? Let us know...
