In Cuba, Obama Condemns 'Outrageous' Attacks In Brussels
HAVANA (CBSNewYork/AP) -- President Barack Obama condemned the "outrageous attacks against innocent people" in Brussels and vowed the U.S. will "do whatever is necessary" in helping Belgium bring to justice those who are responsible.
Speaking in Cuba Tuesday morning, Obama said the U.S. stands "in solidarity'' with Belgium.
"This is yet another reminder that the world must unite, we must be together regardless of nationality or race or faith in fighting against the scourge of terrorism," he said. "We can and we will defeat those who threaten the safety and security of people all around the world."
Belgian officials say 31 people were killed Tuesday and 187 wounded in two explosions at the Belgium airport and one at a city subway station.

Officials say there is no threat against the U.S at this time.
Last week U.S. Homeland Security Secretary Jeh Johnson said U.S. Homeland Security officials are constantly monitoring world events and evaluating if there is a need to either publicly raise the nation's security posture or issue another bulletin via the government's National Terror Advisory System.
Such a bulletin was issued in December advising the public that federal law enforcement was concerned about the possibility of homegrown violent extremists and terrorist-inspired individuals.
