NYPD: Suspect Withdrew Money From Bank Accounts Of Larceny Victims
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are looking for a suspect they say is responsible for a pair of grand larcenies in Manhattan.
Authorities said that back on Nov. 17 of last year, a 27-year-old victim realized her wallet containing a Chase Visa and MasterCard, among other items, was missing at the Borough Hall Street subway station.
A few days later, a female suspect walked into a Chase Bank at Eighth Avenue and West 15th Street and withdrew $2,000 from that victim's Chase account.
Police now believe the same suspect is responsible for another incident that occurred on Jan. 31 in the East Village.
Authorities said a victim discovered her wallet was missing and also told police that ATM withdrawals were made from her Bank of America account.
The suspect is described as a white female, between 25 and 30 years old, 5-foot-3 and between 110 and 125 pounds with dark-colored hair.
