NYPD Seeks Pierre Hecker, Suspected Of Shooting Anthony Evans To Death In Lower Manhattan

NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) - Police are asking for your help finding a suspected killer.

Police say in the early morning hours of Sept. 1, 2010, police arrived at 46 Madison Street to find Anthony Evans, 28, shot. Evans had been shot in the head, right arm and torso. EMS technicians rushed Evans to the hospital, where he was dead on arrival.

Now police say they suspect Pierre Hecker, 29, is the gunman. They say he walked up to Evans and started firing. After the shooting, police say he took off toward Pearl Street.

Hecker lived at 1295 5th Avenue. He's tall - police say Hecker is 6'05", and weighs 180 pounds.
