NYPD Searches For Subway Assault Suspect
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- The NYPD is asking for the public's help to identify a man believed to be responsible for an early-morning assault on the 6 train.
Police say the suspect was on the northbound platform when he crossed the tracks and struck his victim, a 31-year-old Hispanic man, in the face.
The victim was taken to Colombia Presbyterian Hospital with a laceration to his head and bleeding to his brain.
Police say the assault took place on December 11, 2011 around 4 a.m. on the southbound platform of the "6" train at 77th Street and Lexington Avenue.
The suspect is described as a Black man between 30 and 40-years-old, standing around 6' and weighing 200 lbs.
