NYPD Probes Suspicious Package On Brooklyn Bridge
NEW YORK (AP) - The Brooklyn Bridge has reopened after police say a report of a suspicious package turned out to be a false alarm.
The report came in at 9:38 a.m. Friday. The bridge was reopened less than an hour later.
Police say someone on the walkway saw a flashlight with copper wiring and called 911. Pedestrian traffic was also briefly closed.
