NYPD Hunting For Queens Robbery Suspect
QUEENS, N.Y. (CBS 2) -- The NYPD is seeking the public's assistance in locating a suspect wanted in two Queens robberies.
The first incident occurred at around 9 p.m. Friday night when a woman entered the Expressway Wine and Liquor Store off of Horace Harding Expressway. She approached the counter holding a large purse and demanded cash, police said.
The same woman allegedly walked into the Panda Garden Asian restaurant on Union Turnpike Saturday, and flashed a silver semi-automatic gun before demanding cash.
According to police, the suspect fled with cash in a red vehicle after both incidents - possibly a Ford Taurus or a Mercury Sable.
She is described as a white female, between the ages of 30 and 45. Police say she donned a black wig, sunglasses, a long blue denim dress and a baseball hat during both robberies.
Anyone with information regarding either of the incidents is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477), or submit their tips by logging onto the CrimeStoppers Web site by clicking here.
