NYPD: Female Suspect Kissed Victim, 68, Before Assaulting Her When Rebuffed
NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) -- Police are looking for a suspect accused of attacking a 68-year-old woman on the subway.
The incident took place on Wednesday at around 8 p.m. on board an uptown 6 train, which the victim boarded at the East 59th Street-Lexington Avenue station.
The female suspect sat next to the victim on the train and put a hand on her and kissed her forehead, police said.
When the victim rejected those alleged advances, the suspect then became aggressive and grabbed the victim's hair and punched her in the head and face, police said.
Authorities said the suspect fled when the subway doors opened at the East 68th Street-Lexington Avenue station stop.
The victim suffered a bruise on her forehead as a result of the alleged attack.
The NYPD has released a surveillance image of the suspect, described as a black female in her mid 40s, approximately 5-foot-11 and 150 pounds with black hair and brown eyes.
